Hey everyone, I’m switching it up this week and trying something new with an actual note from the field.
On my recent trip to North Wales, I decided to record a few thoughts on my walk out from the mountains at the end of the second day. I’ve wanted to do this for a while now, just to share these thoughts I often write about, but when they’re at the top of my mind.
I had a great couple of days hiking some new trails and burning through a handful of rolls of film. I left the 4x5 at home this time and dusted off the Pentax 6x7 to work more freely. It was exactly what I needed! Here are a few images from the trip:
Artist Feature Update
I’ll post the first artist feature issue from some of the submitted works this Wednesday. Initially, I thought I’d include this in my weekly newsletter on Monday, but I feel like the feature might get lost in everything else. I’m thinking it might be better to do it periodically as a separate solo thing, so we’ll try that for now. Keep an eye out for that shortly!
The last thing is that this evening, I have a new video going live on my channel. This one is a photo trip to the east coast of England, continuing work on my WW2 airfields project. In this one, I’m searching for lost wartime artwork, and after following a bunch of leads, I find one of the best-preserved pieces yet, tucked away in an old auto garage.
The video goes live at 5 PM GMT on my YouTube channel.
That’s it for this one! I hope you enjoyed this format change, and it’s something I might do again. It’s always nice to switch things up and try something new.
Thanks as always for the support and interest in what I do!
