Hey everyone, I’m back this week with another audio version of Field Notes. I’m not abandoning the written versions, but I had some things I wanted to talk about this week, and it’s been a bit crazy around here, so doing an audio version helps me get an issue out today!
I’ve had a bunch of things going on and some exciting stuff to share in a few issues moving forward, but today, I want to talk about one thing in particular that I think is incredibly important to consider when it comes to maintaining a healthy and productive creative career.
I’ve been in a really good place with photography over the past month, enjoying it more than ever, which had me thinking about the things that make us go, as well as the things that create friction. That’s what inspired today’s issue.
I hope you enjoy this one! I’ve also attached some pictures below of some older images I’ve been revisiting and re-scanning, inspired by my recent purchase of a Fuji Frontier SP3000. I’ll discuss this in more depth in a feature episode.
It’s been a ton of fun to pick back through the archives and discover a lot of work that I should have given a longer look.
Also, if you missed it, last week, I put up part one of my trip to Finland, where I visited my friends at Kamerastore. This was a really fun one to make, and it was pretty cool to explore their operation and nerd out about film cameras for a couple of days. You can watch that one here.
Part two of the trip goes live at 5 PM GMT this evening on my YouTube channel. In this one, I head out on the road for a day to explore Finland and shoot with the Plaubel Makina 670.
That’s it for this one! I hope you enjoyed this week’s issue. Thanks as always for the support and interest in what I do!
